Gallstones and MRI shows bulky pancreas

I posted on here last week about my 5 cancelled gallbladder ops, three cancelled ops happened just before xmas when I was admitted with pancreatitis. I had an MRI in Dec and consultant phoned today (complained to PALS re cancellations and no feedback from MRI). Obv sure gallstones but not inflammed but MRI showed bulky pancreas and called me in for CT scan just to make sure it is effect of gallbladder and not something else. The something else has panicked me. Just wondered if this has happened to anyone else out there with gallstones.

Sorry to hear this. I think its terrible they have cancelled your operation 5x. I am waiting to go for a scan to see if I have gallstones.

I am upset as had scan on 31st and only cos I chased that someone looked at it today! Consultant had that it might be more serious tone so feeling scared.

hi, i havent had a mri. ive got gallstones and meant to be having my op this friday, but i wish u the best of luck and hope they work out what it is.

The consultant said we want to do ct scan to see if anything else. And they said it in that tone that makes you think of cancer. Sure its not, but am so worried.
