What age when you started to notice menopause symptoms?

I'm 42 and my usually reliable periods have started to be a bit all over the place. The last one was about a week early and veer very light when they are normally exceptionally heavy. My gp has taken some blood and Im waiting for the results, although Im not sure what this will tell him.

Am I too young? I'm not getting any hot flushes, but do now get pmt which I didn't used to.

I'm not bothered if I am, I have my babies and can't wait to see the end of periods, just don't want the hot flushes etc.

Oh that's interesting about the PMT. I've been getting it badly (I'm nearly 45) recently and had been blaming it on the mirena coil.

44, during chemo for breast cancer.
