Baby has flu symptoms but is it just a bad cold?

Hi my son is 10 months and he is teething but the past 4 days his minor cold is turning into not sleeping a lot of dirty nappies and high temperature, just in the last hour he getting very grumpy and has started coughing, he wont sit and hold his milk bottle or juice cup all he will take is a chocolate biscuit, which he is just making a mess with and not eating it, he wont crawl either he sits there wanting picked up, I dont want to call the hospital incase they just think i'm over reacting but I am a mum of 4 and still get worried, should i call the doc? oh and I had the swine flu vac when I was pregnant with him x

Take his temp. If it's high take him to GP. Also take his clothes off and have a look for rash. Rash is important. I wouldn't call the hospital just yet, try to get to GP.

He does feel very hot, I don't actually have thermometer I lent it to my sister, he has really dry patches on his arms but no rash.

What do you mean dirty patches on his arms? Have you given him calpol and does it help? Is he producing wet nappies as normal?

Dry patches not dirty patches, yes calpol dosn't help at all, his nappies are alot wetter than normal x

If calpol isn't helping, then you should take him to the GP.

Are his nappies smellier then normal?
