Feeling down at the end of a period

Hi

Just wondered if anyone else feels down/depressed at the end of a period? I know it should be the other way round but I am 47 and wonder if my hormones are going berserk! I have noticed a pattern..periods are much shorter, then feel down and exhausted then usually I pick up and have more energy. Could this be linked to the perimenopause??? Thanks :)

Probably. My periods have become much heavier but much shorter (which is good and bad in equal measure Hmm ) and I always feel completely knackered and fed up at the end of them. I suspect it's to do with iron depletion because of the bleeding. You could try iron tablets or Spatone. :)
