Have had it for nearly a month now and 2 courses of antibiotics hasn't really cleared it up.

I still have some pain, but omg the smell of the crap coming out from my nose (and which I can also taste, as it's going into the back of my throat. ) is seriously the most disgusting thing I have ever smelt.

This isn't good, is it? Back to docs, yes?

Grin at Stinkyhead

Not really...still utter vileness there. Nearly at my desk at one point today. Lovely....Hmm

Rowingboat thanks for the further advice, I think I'm going to be giving that a go tomorrow. I know exactly what you mean about sleep as the vileness and pain is much less after sleep, but unfortunately no chance of any more than my standard 6 hours a night.

Annie, thanks for the tip. Plantago sounds a lot like grapefruit seed extract (which I'd forgotten about, so thanks for the reminder!) which is hugely antibacterial, so I'll go and get one/both of them tomorrw

Take nurofen+ for the pain, and the anti-biotics.

And all the other great suggestions. I didn't know about any of them when I had it.

I've been paranoid about my sinuses all day after reading this last night. It's a horrible, horrible thing.

But, on the plus side, I do love being able to call someone Stinkyhead.. Grin

I suffer from sinuis on and off and have done for about the past 15 years, and I was told about plantago 3years ago and the relief I get from taking it is amazing I would recommend it to anyone and as soon as I feel a sore throat or a cold coming on I take this straight away
