Mirena - period after 6 months?

I a Mirena fitted six months ago, not a period since, until today, a heavyish one, is this normal?

I hope so/not, was loving the no period thing. Have been under much stress and not sleeping, plus just had a w/end in a&e with DS1 - could this be affecting it?

FWIW - it's my right ovary which was always the more active one, can your body outwit a Mirena?

In answer to the question can your body outwit a mirena the answer IME is YES!

I have a variety of exciting /irritating/highly inconvient period issues and and have tried a number of managment solutions over the years.

One problem is i have a very strong hormone cycle.(My first year at uni on a corridor of 20 women, they all changed the cycle to become in sync with me!!)
I had a Mirena put in and bled every day for 6 months at which point i was 2 stone lighter and very ill. They took it out and went back to the drawing board!
