Anyone got any 'natural' cures.....or is back to the GP for steroid drops again?

Have you tried "Hopi Ear candles" ??? .....you can have it done by some alternative therapists, but you don't really need to go that route as you can buy them from good health shops & herbalists.....you will need help to light them though

they do sound a bit mad, but I tried them for my Sinus problems & the DID help, thy are meant to creat a vacuum & draw out impurities from you ear Canal & Sinuses etc, so in theory could help with Otitis....

Or try 1 clove fresh garlic liquidised with fresh lemon juice and maple syrup for taste 3 times a day (it killed a tooth abcess I had over Xmas)!! Also try cutting out dairy.

Agree with the garlic, its a great natural antibiotic :)

I was also going to suggest the old style remedy of warm olive oil dripped into the ear, with a warm cloth held over it for a while afterwards.......its must be a different grade to the cooking stuff though, as I remember it coming in small bottles from the chemist, seen it in ours recently :)

Spirulina (healthfood shop such as GNC) is another good immunity booster & general vit min & iron tonic, so that might help too...don't get the powder though...its FOUL

or a piece of warm cooked onion in the ear! rockin...IMO the best organic olive oil would be good for any treatment that required it (it's brill inside and out of the body)!
