I have been unwell since sunday and GP said it was tonsilitis and gave me antibiotics but since then thb it has felt more like flu. IM tired, shakey, not hungery, feeling sick and headachey. Im at home and trying to rest but omg this cough is terrible.

My chest this morning feels very heavey, like i have someone sitting on my chest. I can still breath normally btw. Now if its a chest infection then surely the antibiotic gp gave me would have stopped it right?
I dont want to go anywhere if this is SF.
Anyone had this side effect?

How is your breathing?

You may need additional abs.

my breathing fine, i dont feel like im struggling to breath. Im wondering if all the coughing has done some muscle damage Hmm

It sounds like you have reduced lung capacity which is normal in the circumstances.

Do you have any jaw pain or shoulder pain?

No not got any pain else where. I would rather just stay in warm bed tbh but know if I ring and say I have heavy feeling in chest they will tell me to come in.

Whether the anti-biotics for tonsillitis will have worked for chest infection depends on the type of bacteria causing the two infections. DD needed much stronger anti-biotics for her chest infection compared with the one she received for tonsillitis. Tonsillitis cleared up quickly but not chest infection which turned out to be pneumonia.

Well you aren't going to get better at work are you? Stay home and rest - you will be back at work sooner if you do. Otherwise you'll relapse and be off ages - not to mention the fact that you are prob. contagious!

No sorry I meant if I ring GP not work lol. I quit my job last may due to family stuff so very glad I don't have that worry too :)

Yes ring out of hours service. Most likely you just need to rest but good to check. :)

Get well soon :)
