I'm sure if you try and fnd an hour you will have one somewhere. Can you ask friends to help you free up the time?

misdee · 07/10/2005 21:05

think everyone needs a break from supporting me. i am running on empty, always tired yet cant sleep.

OP posts:
hub2dee · 07/10/2005 21:59

LOL, misdee... that's why you need support.

Really, you need to make the time. If it maybe even means one less visit to Peter occasionally.

You'll be able to keep going, for longer, feel calmer at home, probably sleep better, and have someone to vent to should things improve / get worse etc. etc. I'd deffo take up this offer.

Oh, and eat yer vitamins, woman.

Octobernow · 07/10/2005 22:03

Does he mean someone who could come out to see you in your home, or would that not make it any more convenient? Try and accept it if you can, it's bound to help. You have been amazingly strong for so long.

misdee · 07/10/2005 22:56

he said somnething about concselling and getting more support in place at home. but i know most of the support wont be in place till peter is home.

i need some ways of helping me sleep. dont want to take sleeping pills as i am in charge of 3 kids, so anything natural or meditation type things that work?

OP posts:
hub2dee · 07/10/2005 23:04

yoga, meditation, exercise will all work.

As will talking through life's delicious challenges with a counsellor etc.

If it's extra help around the house, grab it !

hub2dee · 07/10/2005 23:06

hot bath late at night too ?

You could try a relaxation / hypnosis type CD too...

You know: waterfall / birds / lovely sounds / ocean / you're feeling blissfully happy / sleepy / you didn't really prang the car into a lampost etc. etc.

misdee · 07/10/2005 23:08

ok, the lamp post bit made me laugh. i admit i was rubbish on the phone to peter and laughed when i told him, and cracked up at the school. and i didnt damage the lamp post

i would just love to let spil lto someone who doesnt know the ins and out, and not connected in any way, all my fears and feelings over all this. it would be a huge sense of relief to get it all out there. will i have to lie on a couch tho?

OP posts:
misdee · 07/10/2005 23:09

oh, have u seen this my 'blog'

OP posts:
hub2dee · 07/10/2005 23:12

you'd have to lie on a couch NEKKID, misdee. Oh, and you'd need to suck your thumb. And free associate from the word 'prang'

No, it would basically be someone who could listen to your concerns and maybe help get your thoughts / feelings expressed / in order IYSWIM. Also give you strategies to deal with the fear / responsibility etc. etc.

misdee · 07/10/2005 23:12
