6 babies in ds2's nursery class have come down with chicken pox in the last couple of weeks... This morning he's not drank any milk (first time in his 18 month life!) or had any breakfast, and then asked to go back to bed!! No spots/rash yet, but do they go off colour first, before the spots appear..?!

both dd and ds had it recently, ds was only 7wks old!.

both were a bit offside, then bit of an upset tummy, then just 1 spot, dd on back, ds on head, which after a day or so blistered. then more spots started coming out.

hth, ps, if he does get it, i found boots own calamine cream worked better than lotion

yes Dot, they go off colour first. we had the same thing last month with DS. we thought he was teething at first til we saw the first spot. Also recommend the cream - we smeared it on ( like you would for nappy rash). Especially in his head and face. He looked appalling but didnt scratch.

Has DS1 had it? And both of you?

Well, he's picked up now and is acting like everything's fine and it was a big ruse to stay at home with Mummy!!

No, ds1 hasn't had it, but dp and I have, so hopefully it'd just be 2 spotty boys!
