Ashton & Parsons Teething Powders were produced by SSL International until November 2010 when they were taken over by Reckitt and Benckiser. The Pharmaceutical side was then taken over by Alliance Pharmaceuticals. The machinery that was used to produce the powders was very old and parts were no longer available, and so production came to a stop. There were also Regulatory problems concerning other SSL products which halted production, so it was a 2 way split. Their customer services has assured me that they hope to overcome both problems by buying new machinery and getting the go ahead to start production within a year. I left them in no uncertainty that this was a highly sought after product that actually does what it says on the box. You will find people asking ridiculous amounts for any left overs that are still in date, on places such as Ebay. I would steer well clear of people taking advantage of the situation.
Alliance Pharmaceuticals customer service number is: 01249 466966
I hope this puts all the rumours to bed.
