Been told I have to have a week of monitoring on heart. I would assume it will be like the 24hour one they did last to time? Do I have to keep going in daily or do they have machine big enough to hold a weeks worth of heart traces?? Thanks

I have, it was just like the 24/48 hour one but with a bigger box (presumably because it needs more memory?)
I also had one a few years ago where I had to call up and send the strange noises results down the phone to free up some memory. Hope it goes well!

thanks for that, i was worried I would have to stay in or endless trips back and forth.

Ironically I wrote that post whilst waiting to see my cardiologist, guess what he said I need to wear for 7 days... So looks like I will be joining you. It's not bad at all just a bit of a PITA Smile

I've had one for a whole week several times. Good luck...

Yes I had a monitor that coped with the whole week. I had several spare sets of sticky electrode things so I could take it off for a bath. The 24 hour tape box fitted on a string around my neck but the 7 day box ( larger) was on an elastic belt that could be worn around the waist or holster fashion or more comfortable put in a (jeans) pocket. Clothing wise smocky tunics and loose knits seem to hide it OK.

As magso says, you shouldn't need to.

I did not tell anyone. As long as the leads are tucked in somewhere (second pair pants/ stretchy sweater hip band) the box can sit in your pocket and look like any other pocket gadget bump.
