look up psoriasis...I have that and your symptoms sound similar, hth :)

onimolap · 14/01/2011 22:55

Psoriasis is characterised by silvery flaking scales. Do you have those?

CrawlingInMySkin · 15/01/2011 10:11

No that is what has confused me there is no odd patches of skin at all it does not flake, look different or feel different. It is exactly the same as usual except it is itching constantly.

Feel behind your ears, do you have lumps? It may be that you have an infection and have increased blood flow to your scalp which is causing the itching.

onimolap · 15/01/2011 10:14

How long has it been going on for? Are you using any different products on your hair? Or wearing a new hat?

CrawlingInMySkin · 15/01/2011 12:38

Hi again I have not used any different products it has been going on about two weeks, and I have no lumps behind my ears. However when I just brushed my hair I noticed it seems to be falling out much more than usual, it is very long (past my bum) and thick and I seemed to be getting handfulls out today, I think I may go and ask my gp as it seems to be getting worse. Thanks for all the advice offered and for reading my post Smile
