pain during sex

since i had my natural birth with dd2 2.5 yrs ago (had emerg section with dd1)....in a certain position when my dp is on top, it really hurts!! its on the perineum (edge of vagina).

with the birth it took 11 hours (2 hrs pushing), my dd2's head was big so therefore i had that burning painful sensation on my perineum whilst pushing her. Midwives were brilliant as she numbed that area for me (about 5 or 20 jabs of numb stuff!) to push dd2 out. Ended up with a 2nd degree tear and stitches.

Should this be healed up by now ? and what would the docs will do to me!!

I'm not sure, but I think you should talk to your gp, because it doesn't sound right after all this time. I hope someone more knowledgeable comes along soon.

I would ask your GP to refer you to a gynae for further evaluation. There may be scar tissue that is making that area painful. This is not a problem that GP can treat so it needs a specialist.

well i can feel the scar tissue but its not in the place wheres its hurting me. I will ring docs on monday to get me referred.

just in case this helps you - i have recently been referred to gynae consultant due to pain/itching in same area, i thought it was from stitches etc after 2 dc's. i got my results this week, they took a biopsy at the clinic, and it is pre cancerous cells. so dont want to worry you, but you must go to the docs, just in case x
