What is the difference between a chiropodist and a podiatrist|?

There is no difference apparently. I think podiatrist sounds a bit more up to date and less 'granny's getting her corns done' sort of thing Grin

I thought chiropodists were toenails, verucas etc and podiatrists were bone alignment, arch supports and so on. No?

Podiatrist is just the modern name for a chiropodist

Ah, thank you. i had thought podiatrists were more aesthetic - foot filing, massage etc , so good to know.
