I have had the mutha of all colds over the last few days, coughing / aching / blocked up sinuses and been unable to sleep due to mucus streaming from every orifice as soon as I lay my head down (sorry, TMI!)

I have been taking sudafed type stuff to ease the sinuses and dry up the gunge, but surely I'm just delaying things - doesn't the horrible green stuff have to come out at some stage? I am hoping to get back to work tomorrow, so is it worth me going cold turkey on the bunging-up medication for today, and investing in a couple of boxes of kleenex?

Fed up of being a mouthbreather!

Your nose feels blocked because things swell up rather than full of snot. Sudafed was always really good for me to melt away the stuffdown the back of the nose/throat.
