Last night I put on my pyjamas and noticed my right labia kind of felt a bit wierd and bigger than normal. Had a feel and there is a pea sized lump right next to the entrance of my vagina.

My first thought was fuck have I got warts but googled and it doesn't look like the images I found of warts...

It is completely painless, feels kind of like a pea under the skin rather than a growth on the skin IYSWIM. Looks slightly whitish compared to surrounding skin.

It definitely wasn't there a week ago, although after my period I did feel a bit dry and irritated between labia (but not inside vagina)-put it down to new shower gel or irritation from pantyliner and it didn't last more than a couple of days.

What the fuck is it?? Do I have genital warts? Blush

Could it be a huge spot?! You can get them there sometimes.

I had one of these. Completely freaked out, thought I had allsorts. I was diagnosed over the phone by a midwife (it was ages ago, can't remember why I was speaking to her, I wasn't pregnant). She said it was something like a blocked something or other... sorry, I can't remember now. But it's no big deal. I remember her saying that if it was anything dangerous, it would not appear so quickly. And warts are different, they are not like peas.

Sorry if my post has been completely unhelpful.

it sounds like a blocked bartholin gland. if you search on here you'll find loads of threads about it!

GroovyGretel · 06/01/2011 11:04

I had one of these too. I worked myself up into a right worrywort frenzy about it and went to see the doctor. Lady doctor, natch. Wink

She was lovely, gave me some cream to use on it and some antibiotics and it disappeared - hurrah!

Can't remember what she said it was though, but deffo get down to the gp. You'll be ok!

embarrassingillness · 06/01/2011 11:09

Oh thank you all for such prompt responses.

I will search for more threads. Guess I should still see GP, or will it just disappear by itself?

I have had one, hold a hot flannel over it to bring the head out and squeeze v.satisfying (if you are into popping spots). Mine was sore though so it was a relief to pop it.

Oh the things you share on the internet.
