ds aged 6 has mild asthma and was booked in for swine flu vaccination. He went into meltdown at the surgery and screamed the place down- the nurse (who is wonderful) regretfully told us she couldn't not inject hims as he was thrashing around and scared. Tried again last week and reaction was just the same.s

What can I do now? I'm getting myself into a right state reading about children and young people dying- the latest one having asthma- and I'm scaring myself

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique - I was struggling a bit last year, mainly due to stress at work/nightmare boss/my reaction to it, and was referred to an NHS Community Psychiatric Nurse who uses it. I found it fantastic although it can take a while to master the technique effectively. Gary Craig is the EFT founder - I found a bit about children and EFT on the website here

Emla patch. DS had 2 booster jabs recently and was very scared for weeks before. He didn't feel a thing. I use them for DD for all her baby jabs.

These little emoticons are fab - just hard sometimes to remember that they don't exist in RL typing!
