Tumour in bone in mouth...

Just been to the dentist and after taking an x-ray he said I have a benign tumour at the bottom of a bone in my mouth (under one of my teeth). He called it something like a seramento (sp?) but he is not the best at communicating well with patients so didn't want to push it. He is referring me to the hospital but said after seeing the x-ray they may decide not to call me for an appointment. How does he know it is a benign tumour? Should I worry?

I don't know but might be an idea to make an appointment with your GP to discuss? No point in worrying about and waiting for an appointment that may not even come.
