Abdominal rash with virus?

DS2 and I have had a virus since Xmas day. DS2 has the main symptom of lots of diarrhoea - about 11 times today alone - plus fatigue, nausea and generally only wanting to rest/ sleep. He hasn't eaten for 3 days but seems a little better today.

However, I've had a milder version - nausea, abdominal pain and some diarrhoea - but with an increasing upper abdominal rash. It's like little blood spots all over and quite itchy. Bit worried but could it just be a side effect of a tummy virus? Anyone know?

I've not got a headache and am not as ill as DC2 at all - although v tired and with a sore, aching spine

Bumping my own thread as feel like sh** this morning....Rash still there.

Does it pass the glass test?

My DD always gets a rash when unwell, been to docs a few times and it is just a viral rash, nothing to worry about. Hers is red pinprick spots that feel ever so slightly raised.

Make sure you do glass test, assuming it blanches I prob wouldn't be too worried.

Oh and it might be worth googling viral rash and looking at images to see if it looks like yours.
