Had all 4 removed under GA last Wednesday. Still feeling pretty crap and have had to take this week off work. I was in no pain imediatley after the op (Thanks to GA) but a couple of days later and Wham. It was horrendous. I endured 3 days of constant agony and finally went screaming to my GP for stronger painkillers, yes they get rid of the pain but leave me feeling sick, dizzy and sleepy.

Can't quite believe just how horrible it's been.

Have popped to my local library for some fresh air and some MN sympathy

awww poor you! haven't had mine out, but my brother did and said it was horrible too.
you have my full sympathy!

LadyTophamHatt · 29/09/2005 11:20

Ohhh!
I'm having mine out in hospital soon so I'll look forward to it!

Don't mean to scare you but don't underestimate what a big operation it is.

I developed dry sockets, so my pain is worse than normal. Women over 25 who take the pill are more suceptible to this condition.

Good luck!

I had 2 taken out a couple of weeks ago. I'm not the best person when it comes to dentists and I nearly passed out when she said"good job you came here, your root was so long it had hit the bone and turned over!!" I didn't need to hear that!!!

I had 3 out (only had 3) under GA - I remember feeling foul when I first came round but don't remember a lot of pain - was 35 years ago mind you but I think I would have remembered.

It was just 1 day for me, nh&m - done in the morning, home in the afternoon.

I might have one out soon, am seeing the consultant next week
