Can't decide wether I should go into work tomorrow or not

Last wed I started with a raging sore throat and earache, and by thurs morning could hardley speak.

I work on a children's ward and rang to say I was ill.

I don't work Fridays or weekends anyway and by Sat morning I had a full on cold, aches, headache, earache etc. I had already booked Mon off for ds's birthday, but I still felt really rough last night do rang to tell them i'd also not be in today.

Now I don't know wether to go in for wed/thurs or not. I still feel shit tbh, can't go 5 minutes without having a coughing fit and needing to blow my nose, and I am slightly deaf.

I don't want them to think I am taking the piss though, and apparently because I am off sick, even the days I don't normally work will be counted as sick days, in which case I will need a sick note I think.

What would you do ??

I am a housekeeper by the way, not a nurse or anything.

I wouldn't go. I had a bad coldy/fluey thing a month ago, tried to go to work, got ill again and ended up with more time off.

I have it again and have taken the time off. Loads of us have it now and we are all off.

I hate the number of days thing - annoying that they count weekends etc as part of your sick leave total - not really very fair but hey ho.

Thank's, I have decided not to go. I rang in work and they were ok about it but said I now need a sick note, so I have an appointment with the gp tomorrow.

I don't get the days thing. I will have actually only had 4 days off sick, but it will go down as 10 days.
