My bloody coil's just fallen out !

Oh God.. Am due on in next few days and dh and I have had an unusual amount of sex this month [terrified]

The strings were dangling out when I went to the loo and the whole thing came out in my hand.

Oh god.

What happens next ?

Mine did that! It came out during my period though so I wasn't too worried. I suppose there isn't much you can do but wait is there? If you have had sex within the time limits for the MAP then maybe take it but, well, not much else you can do.

Could they put another one back in ?

We've not had sex for the last week bu before then lots.

Can't have anothe baby, my 2 were both premature and I can't go through it again :(

I'm not the most fertile person in the world, it took me^ 2.5 years to get pg with my ds so will be ok.

Being pg would be a disaster ! I'd love another baby but omg I was hoping to foster, I dont wanna be pg!

Google the type of coil you have and look uop what the time periods are for not having unprotected sex when it is going to be removed. If it is less than a week you will be fine, try not to panic, and make an appointment to see gp so they can check you out tomorrow to make sure all is ok because it has come out.

Either arrange for another one to be inserted within 4 days or get the morning after pill tomorrow.

Thanks all, I'm feeling a bit calmer about things. We had sex on Thursday or Friday night I think but I recon I would have been to late in my cycle for that to matter. We had plenty of sex around ovulation but with the coil in hopefully no sperm will have made it that far.

I'm due on over the next 3 or 4 days so will just have to wait and see and get one put back in when my period arrives.

Typically my iPhone had a complete wobbly yesterday and deletes all my info on my calendar so not entirely sure where in my cycle I am.. Somewhere near the end is all I know!

Copper or mirena?

Copper, a 10 year one. It had been in 22 months.

do not trust your cycle. I thought i would never conceive at around day 8-9 as I had a long cycle of 30-32 days. I now have a ( much loved and wanted) 22 yr old DD!

I know when I ovulated so should be ok. I'll ring my gp tomorrow though.

I had no pain when it came put though, I hope it was actually in the right place all month!
