I stubbed my toe this morning

and now its all swollen and purple. how do i know if i have broken it?

Hum, the only way is to get it x-rayed misdee.
I did this earlier this year on dd's pushalong dog and it was absolute agony. Try to rest it as much as you can.
I did get mine x-rayed and it was strapped for me but that was all they did.
It took some time for the swelling to go down.

it is really painful. i just carried on as was just leaving to take dd1 to school, then went to the hospital to see peter.

should i strap it to the middle toe?

Sympathies misdee, i broke 2 toes about 2 years ago, and broke my little toe the beginning of last week, i caught it on ds2's wheelchair. It hurts doesn't it?!

its now a lovely shade of purple.
