MMR over-reaction? 15 month old screaming through the night

My son had his MMR almost 10 weeks ago. From about 2 weeks after he started waking and screaming and wouldn't be consoled. A few sleepless nights and we ended up at the hospital, where they checked him over but said there was nothing really wrong with him and was probably a reaction to the jabs. Since then he's had a bad cold, stubborn conjunctivitus, pretty much constant runny nose/cough and recently the screaming fits in the night have come back. We've given calpol/neurofen as not sure if he was teething but no sign of any coming through.

pre-jab he was happy, sleeping through the night and not too much trouble from teething, and I just can't shake the feeling that the jab has affected him somehow - affected his immune system somehow. Has anyone else had a similar reaction for so long after the jab? is this all just a coincidence? Sorry for the long post.

Yes, my DD was the same (about a week after MMR) and she also regressed from walking to crawling.

Of course, I was terrified, but fortunately the effects were temporary and within two weeks she was fine.

Does your son go to nursery or toddler groups? There are so many viruses around this time of year. I found both my children were constantly ill at that age.

It could be reaction to MMR followed by a run of normal winter bugs
