oral tabs were the only thing that worked for me, in the end. Sorry!

You need to work from the inside :)
Try a zinc supplement (Zn deficiency is linked to low immunity to fungal infections), sorted out my ds fungal stuff when none of drs prescriptions meds worked.

My DH has started using vicks vapour rub, it is looking better already, not sure how succesful it will be, but worth a go.

bleach

Prescription tablets were useless for me, ditto teatree, but Neutrogena Multi-repair Cream made a difference first time, and it's now nearly clear after years of trial and error.

Friend recommended meths, but can't stand smell.

In Oz there's a tincture called Daktarin. I'm sure there's a European version. The active ingredient is Micanazole.

You paint it on your nail for a few weeks, the offending nail or part of it that's fungus-y lifts painlessly away. Sorted.

Now is the time to do it, in the winter, and you'll have a nice toenail in 12 weeks.

Pure essential oil tea tree does work but you have to put it on neat 3 times a day the same with eucalyptus oil, very effective.

onimolap · 21/11/2010 16:35

Daktacort (which might be the same stuff as Daktarin), plus fungicidal essential oils. Tagetes is meant to be particularly good on feet, also lavender and tea tree.
