My cycle is still settling down after having my last baby, but I have noticed a pattern emerging... During the last couple of days of my period, I sink further and further into the grumps and they stick around for about 5 days, along with other niggly things like constipation, tiredness, stiff joints, bad skin... lovely.

I am hoping that this isn't going to be a regular event. All the same I am adjusting my diary for next month so that I'm not doing any vital things at work or home in the week following my next period (hope that it arrives when expected).

Can I collect some opinions and experiences, please?

I did once have a doctor who said that this definitely can take place so its not in your mind. Is it something just physical or are you trying to conceive again and so feeling low when you don't? It does take loads of time to adjust. I would see the dr, and maybe think of anything you used before you had a baby like evening primrose if this worked for you, or perhaps some vitamins? Good luck

I get the same thing. I've only had 3 periods since stopping bf, but my mood for the week after my period has been awful, and my chin is full of big spots. I also get the same thing in the week before my period, so I feel like I have permanent PMT!

I'm not on any kind of hormonal contraception yet, so am going to go and ask the GP about going back on the pill to see if that helps.
