Has anyone tried Rosemary Conley diet?

I'm thinking of joining a club, but just wondered whether anyone had had any success.

How difficult is it to count calories? I'm not sure I could be bothered to work out the calories in everything, or is it more simple than that?

What are the exercise classes like? I haven't exercised for ages.

Angiel I have been doing weight watchers for 4weeks now and have lost 12lbs and it is easy to do. It works on a point system so there is no counting calories after the first week Im sure you will get the hang of it. Also the slimming world diet is quite similar I think working on a points diet. Their is a thread on here on the slimming world diet. The good thing about these two diets is you dont feel like you are depriving yourself any foods its still mixed. Sorry I dont know much about rosemary connelly siets but 10g a fat a week doesnt sound very easy to do.

I've done the Rosemary Conley diet (in fact I've tried every B**Y diet ) I think the classes are good because they do encourage exercise; the diet is good ...... but like all diets, its only going to be short term - the only thing to change your weight is to change your eating habits for life, and exercise more !! Much easier said than done. Good luck.

Never done the diet but she lives next door but one to us ( tho' in a manor house and across some fields!)and is a very nice person! ( From my somewhat limited aquaintence and also on the word of those who know her well!!!)
Sorry - couldn't resist that - I have so few claims to fame. Pathetic really isn't it?!

Hi. I have been doing Slimming World (and like it)but have decided to defect to Rosemary as three of my colleagues do it and you get an exercise class at the same time and for the same price so it fits in better for me personally. I think the diet sounds fine (have done bits of it before) but and not sure if you get treats/sins. I'm going the week after next so will let you know. At the end of the day I think all the diets that work come down to eating less fat/sugar and more healthy choices which result in less calories and some weight loss. You have to find a diet that suits long term you if it's going to work and (most importantly for me i think) get some exercise (I do zero at the moment and feel really unfit). Hope that ramble helps!
