Cerazette - Help ! I've forgotten a pill already.

Ladies, can't believe it. Went to take my pill this morning and realised I didn't take it yesterday. So, have taken two at the same time.

I'm not on cerazette for contraception, but because of my horrid peri-menopausal periods. I've only been taking it for a few weeks and am due on this weekend.

I've got lots of symtpons .... or side effects, nothing that I can't deal with but I know they are there.

So, my question - will it be ok ? Will I come on earlier, heavier ? Just looking for reassurance really.

Keep your tablets by the kettle so you see them every morning. Or by the cereal boxes, or even the milk in the fridge. :)

Thanks Lost ! I am usually really good - it's next to my toothpaste . But yesterday DS was up with the larks and I had stuff to sort out etc. Can't believe I just forgot.

Would be interested to hear from anyone else.

I was actually looking forward to coming on with a faint hope that Cerazette would answer my prayers. I know a lot of people have suffered awful side effects, mine only last for a about a day !

When I used to be on the pill I set a wee reminder in my phone, the alarm would flash up "take pill!" It worked for me. Hope the cerazette helps you.

I havent had a period in 2 years on cerazette so there is no guarantee that you get one at all. I keep mine on the unit by the tv in the bedroom so I see them every morning.

Thanks Seona, so do you think missing one pill won't make any difference to if / when I get my period ?

I have had a look on internet and it just talks about missing pill / risk of getting pregnant.

Because Cerazette is taken every day, no one week break for a withdrawal bleed like the combined pill, I would expect random bleeding anyway TBH.

It will most likely make no big difference, but generally speaking taking pills late/missing them can make spotting more likely because the hormone levels are not constant. Unlikely to be harmful though.

I tried Cerazette too but bled on and off for ages til I gave up, it was a right PITA.

Thanks Goulish. I've only had one day of spotting so far, that was after the first couple of days. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
