Have had a cold niggling away fr a while. In fact it upset my asthma so bad I've had steroids.
But I have got the most awful cattarh, and I'm finding that when I blow my nose, I get an awful taste in my mouth immediately afterwards. What could be causing it? It is really awful, and I have lost all sense of taste too

Tonsil stones??? DS (12) and i had a horrible cold/sinus/headache/fever thing that lasted 2 weeks....it ended with very annoying tonsil stones. They are horrible globs of left over debris from the snots and phlegm...they smell really horrible when they are broken open. Are you feeling like there is something stuck in your throat?? scratchy feeling??

Cotton buds are best and tring to capture them...nasty, tricky things they are.

Hope you are better soon Smile

i always sneeze mine out every couple of months, they are hard, rubbery and look like bits of cottage cheese! gross!
They harden because of plaque bacteria that gets trapped in the tonsil folds and are smelly.
I also get a bad taste if ive had strong foods just before or during a cold, espcially onions, my cattarh and phlem will taste rotten after that.
Get some mouth wash, may help.
