i've think i may have overdosed on steriods

Hi

I've been in and out of health centers and hospitals all bloody week. i have been prescribed 50mg of pregnisalone and to take 2 steroid inhalers (4 puffs each) every 3 1/2 - 4 hours and 10 puffs of salbutamol.

I am now really hyperactive which i expect, but i'm shaking uncontrolably and my hearts beating so hard i can see it through my top.

i'm terrified if i go back to the hospital they'l admit me (i have a fear of hospitals steming back from childhood) i know i'm an adult and if i need to go then i should, but i want to do everything i can to make myself better rather than having to go to the hospital. If they keep me in i could face losing my job on monday, i cannot let that happen as we could face losing our home.

any ideas about what i can do at home to keep the weezing at bay while not taking too many steroids.

Those symptoms sound more like the effects of your salbutamol tbh. Are you still wheezing?

I think you need to go back and be seen. If you don't you'll be in an even worse by monday.

I would second xwitch in that the most likely cause is the salbutamol although steroids can cause an alerting effect and cause you to feel agitated.

Are you sure you are meant to be taking 2 steroid inhalers at that frequency, this is quite unusual?
