feeling like I am going mad but blood results are normal

I went to see my GP because a couple of weeks ago my legs and hands swelled up badly. He sent me for a blood test and I called today to ask if the results are in, the receptionist breezily said "all normal dear, nothing to worry about". Now I might have been letting my imagination run away with me, BUT, I think I have been showing many of the symptoms of hypothyroidism. For example, hair loss, dull hair, tiredness, confusion, forgetfulness,'brain fog'. I have had two periods this year, but I have had the Merina in for two years now, before christmas, my periods were every 6 weeks. I went to get some cash from a cashpoint over the weekend, put my card in, put pin in, pressed the button for £20, took card from the machine, put the card away and walked off. I am scared to think about what I might do next.

Did you have a thyroid function test? Might be worth arranging a telephone conversation with your GP

Good, hopefully that will resolve things for you. At the very least, even if your bloods came back clear there is something up which needs investigating. Good luck for tomorrow.

btw- have you told your GP all of your symptoms before? If you haven't it might be worth taking a list so you don't forget anything while you're there (don't know about you, but I always feel rushed at the GP and am very likely to forget a very vital piece of information)
