!!!!!!!!Quick advise needed, appendicetomy!!!!

DH has just gone in for emergency surgery suspected appendicitis. I am stuck at home with kids and didn't get a chance to ask how long surgery would take and how long he would be in hospital ( I didn't want the kids to see DH being wheeled down to theatre so made a hasty exit.
He's all woried about work and was busy telling me who to phone and what to oragainise.
I'm starting to bubble now I need some reassuring advice.

He's worried about how long he will be off work as he drives there. I know he will work from home because he can't just leave it.
He is going to have to phone someone tomorrow to go through all the stuff that has to be orgainised for this weeks events. I would stop him but i know he will feel better once he sorts it out.

Oh dear - try and get him to rest up a bit if possible. I can understand how frustarting it is though when there are things that need doing.

Its just the way his business works there are so many meetings and things to organise for these huge events and everyone is responsible for their own stuff it makes taking time off so hard even when its planned. I managed to sort out some stuff that was happening today but only because it affected my friend that works with us so i wanted her to know what she had to do.
