Does taking vit and minerals can help improving skin and nails?

I do not take vitamins and minerals. I think, however, that I should take iron to improve the state of my nails (also I am on copper coil which can lead to anemia). I do not eat red meat. I do eat turkey and fish but that it. I would not say that my skin is bad but I do get spots and sebacious white/black heads. I also have dark cirles under my eyes which I need to cover with the make up. My parents did not teach me to drink up two litres of water a day and it is a struggle for me. However, I do not feel dehedrated. So, I wonder, whether a good skin is down to a good balanced diet plus vitamins and minerals or it is down to genes.

Plenty of fresh green veg and fruit on an empty stomach don't smoke or drink alcohol and yr skin will glow. A GOOD mineral and vit. supplement helps of course; you get what you pay for!

Do not smoke, do not drink alcohol but eat chocolate almost every day.

Probably best not to eat too much choc esp. high sugar, dairy. IMO the dark stuff is good but full of caffiene.! You could try a kelp supplement they are good.

Thanks. I will have a look at kelp supplements. Chocolate is my weakness. I need to eat it moderately. I also think that skin problems could appear after having kids due to hormonal changes. I think it has become less elastic after having kids. I did not have this problem before my first pregnancy.

I M E chamomile is the most gentle female hormone regulator it helps with everything, you can drink the tea [strong] or get a good supplement.

When you say a 'balanced' diet IME the traditional way of eating is not good for health. When I started food combining eg NOT eating high protein and carbs together my skin began glowing! I think it's 'cos you can digest easily
