Has anyone had Bartholins and Sebaceous cysts after birth?

Since having my boy 4 weeks ago by emergency c-section I have been plagued by a Bartholins Cyst and now what i think may be two Sebaceous cysts on and around my vagina.

The child is my first and i was fully dilated within 4 and a half hours which was a hell of a shock. One midwife that i have spoken to wondered whether that's why the Bartholins cyst turned up (as well as piles post-pregnancy not had during) because of the immense pressure so quickly.

Anyway, my GP has been as helpful as the lumps themselves and so i wondered whether anyone else had had this happen or would be able to shed some light on what it is or how to treat?

I've got one and I've been googling it since yesterday.
Not been to doctors yet but have read that anti biotics can help.

Am really hoping it will go away soon.

Had ds2 a year ago and never had one before. Don't think it's related to birth.

Hope it clears up for both of us. Mine must be infected as it hurts. Ouch.

I had a hemorrhagic (blood filled) bartholin's cyst appear 2 days after I gave birth a few years ago. My cyst was very large and needed surgery under a GA as it was stopping bloodflow to some areas. Could your bartholin's be disrupting the bloodflow to the tissue with the sebaceous cysts?

I had this following the birth of my DS 3 years ago. Only treatment I tried was antibiotics - took a couple of courses though. It was an annoyance when trying to recover from birth and look after a newborn.

I also had a EMCS and wondered if it was a reaction to something I was swabbed with?

No 2 is due at the end of the month - am hoping this doesn't recur!

Thank you so much for your replys girls...
It is a little reassuring that other women have had the same as i have as it's all a little frightening!
I've had one course of antibiotics so far, have a doctors appt this afternoon, and will hopefully get another course.

MumInBeds - i do hope it's not what you had you poor thing. Thank you for saying though - as i will keep it in mind.

cyanarasamba - agree with the annoyance - i've been a little overwhelmed as it's hard enough getting over a EMCS let alone looking after a newborn and then getting shoved around the system trying to get a gyno or my GP to take me seriously for some pretty scary painful lumps.
