No there was no sort of Bum fun going on last night!
I have woken up with a really sharp pain at the top of my bum crack, it really hurts to move or to touch it (not that i make a habit of touching my bum a lot!)What could it be... oh it hurts so much just on one side. Sad

So not your actual BUM - was going to suggest worms

Could it be very low back pain? When I have had bad back pain its right down to bum.

DaisySteiner · 04/10/2010 07:14

Ingrowing hair?

Besom · 04/10/2010 07:20

If it continues go to gp to check it isn't an abcess like this because if it is it will need antibiotics/treatment. Although I would imagine you would feel some kind of swelling as well if this was the case.

Rillyrillygoodlooking · 04/10/2010 07:33

Is it right at the top? It could be your coccyx.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 04/10/2010 07:48

No its runs right from the top of my bum crack and its all of my left buttock, im in tears i cant bend, cough or sneeze, its a real gasp for breath pain everytime i move or stand up or sit down. :(

sounds like you have hurt your coccyx...you need to stay off it for a while..the hallmark for me is when you go to standing from sitting it HURTS...if you have to sit arrange cushions so you are sitting over a hole in the middle, and take some painkillers.

Shoshe · 04/10/2010 07:51

is it sciatica?

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 04/10/2010 07:52

yes it actually sounds like that too from not being able to bend etc...maybe you have hurt a disk in your back?

nickschick · 04/10/2010 07:59

Poor you -hope it feels better soon.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 04/10/2010 08:06

So what do i do, see the GP or just rest up, it really hurts its the sort of pain that makes you nauseous.

OP posts:
fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 04/10/2010 08:07

well, if you see them you could get stronger painkillers than you can buy...

girlscout · 04/10/2010 08:25

thought you were talking about proctalgia.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 04/10/2010 08:26

Sorry for a misleading title its more of of a buttock thing than actually in my anus Blush sorry to disappoint!

how is your bot now?

Besom · 05/10/2010 07:01

How are you Tisalina? I really think you should go to the doc if you're still in so much pain.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 05/10/2010 17:16

Hi, just to update i went to the GP and got many painkillers, i have Hyper Mobility Syndrome and he thinks my hip may have become partially dislocated and a nerve has been trapped in the socket, the pain killers are working. He said to give it 3 days and if it is still as painful, worse or if i have any numbness then to go back and in the meantime make another apt to see my Rheumatologist.

Thanks for checking up on me! :)
