Hacking cough hanging on for a month HELP

Me and my partner have had a hacking cough which has gone on for a month.

Also loss of appetite and sleep prevention.

The coughing fits last for a couple of minutes. They go away.....and you think thats it.
But it comes back again later.

Had it before but not for this long. There does seem to be an epidemic in the midlands
any ideas?

Yep - have this (in South East) - coughing so much I'm sick...not chest infection though. Have been recommended to drink as much plain water as possible - it does seem to get worse when I'm dehydrated.

bronchitis?

It could be because of the damp house and mould. If not then it is something else.
