WTF is going on with my body!!

Going to make a doctors appointment today as I'm feeling rotten but thought I'd get some advice on here too so I have an idea what to ask the doctor....

9 months ago, I gave birth to DD by ELCS. We've been BF ever since. For the past 6 months, I've been running somewhere around 5k 3 times a week to try and loose the baby weight. I'm also doing Weight Watchers. I am still at least a stone over weight.

About 3 weeks ago, the scales started going up rather than down again. I may have slipped slightly on the diet but not enough to be piling on the pounds like I am. My tummy has been very swollen and uncomfortable and a few times I've looked almost pregnant. It seems to go up and down although never returning to normal. Contraception at the moment is condoms while we wait for DH's vasectomy appointment or for me to stop BF so I can go back on the pill. There have been no accidents. I always get hideous MS when pregnant too and haven't been feeling nauseous.

About 4 days ago, I started getting the most awful period type pains. Proper, laid on the sofa wanting a hot water bottle pains. I still haven't had a period since DD's birth so am expecting them back soon. I never used to get pains like this before, even after the birth of DS 3.5 years ago.

Then last night, I developed diarrohea too!!

Anybody have any suggestions as to what on earth could be wrong? Is it just a particularly nasty first period on it's way? Anything I should ask the doctor? - assuming I can get an emergency appointment!

My diet hasn't changed drastically recently. I have had IBS type stomach cramps in the past but nothing for a while. Not since my pregnancy with DD.

Can't help but bumping for you. Good luck with the docs appointment.

Have you taken a pg test just in case?

My thoughts were:

ectopic pregnancy
pregnancy
ovulation pains

Not hugely helpful but it's always worth trying to rule out ep as they are so dangerous. So do say that to your doc.

You can go on some pills (mini pill?) while bf, but tbh I never got on with them.

Got a docs appointment at 10.10.

Will pick up a pg test at the chemists next door while I'm there. At least then I can rule it out for definite.

Doctor thinks persistent tummy bug. Strong enough to hang around and make me bloated and sore but not enough to give me proper sickness and diarrohea.

Has suggested Apple juice and bananas to firm up current runs and paracetamol to make my tummy more comfortable. Got to take in a sample on Friday if no better.

Did a pg tests just in case which is negative.

Hope it goes soon.

Any better? Or did you have to go back to docs?

I'm surprised at recommendation re apple juice and bananas to help the runs
Make sure the bananas aren't soft and ripe ,as I do believe that would make it worse .
Unless your constipated and GP thinks its diarrohea " leaking " .

Still sore. Was supposed to take in a stool sample this morning but felt better so didn't.

Have cancelled run for tomorrow to give myself a few days off. If it's still sore on Monday then I'll take the sample in then.

It's definitely better but I still feel very bloated and achey
