Title kind of says it, really! Symptoms are:-

Weeing a lot
cramping like period pain, way low.
Exhausted
dry lips (always get when pregnant)
Swollen abdomen

HAving periods as normal, and had a negative test. What could this be? Cramping is quite painful, and feel almost like there's 'pressure' down there.

Could it be a cyst or something?

It could be cystitis.
In which case you should go to a doctor asap.

Flighttattendant · 28/09/2010 20:03

You might have thrush - that can cause bloating, soreness and maybe cramping? Not sure...

Tbh I clicked on this because lately I've been feeling really sick, needing to wee all the time and my hair and skin have gone a bit rubbish - all of which are big preggo things for me, but I'm still having periods too.

It is clearly a pregnancy-mimicking virus! Smile

I hope it sorts itself out for you x

I had similar for 5 weeks before I went to the doctors (though i also had dizziness, hair loss, morning sikness and palpitations).

Was convinced I was pregnant, but after many tests, it turns out I have folate deficiency Confused

Maybe you need to visit the docs to rule things out.

I have an appointment booked for Monday, but just wanted to get some opinions on here first to prepare myself for what it might be.

Flight...I'll be sure and let you know if there's a pregnancy-mimicking virus doing the rounds Wink.

Could it really be cystitis? I don't have any burning sensation or back ache...

Thanks all!

UTI

puddlepuss · 28/09/2010 20:54

I'm weeing all the time, bloated, pressure feeling, movement feeling, back pain, spotty, tired, dizzy, no period but not pg. I have a history of PCOS but the doctor doesn't think it's that. I was sent for blood tests but they only checked for pregnancy. I was put on the pill to try and regulate me but I still have all the pg feelings. If you find out what it is could you let us know? I might print out this thread, take it to the doc and shout "DO SOMETHING".

Good luck for Monday.

TheLadyEvenstar · 28/09/2010 21:34

Think I will print it out as well as I have all those symptons....

everyonesatit · 29/09/2010 10:58

Right all...I'm just back from the Docs. Got my appt moved forwards, as the abdominal pain got quite bad in the night.

He thinks it could be a UTI, or it could be ovulation pain. Personally, I didn't think ovulation pain would be this severe, or last 4 days, or produce the other symptoms!

Anyway, have handed in a urine sample and should have the results later. I'll let you know!

I always thought ovulation pain was a twinge now and then! Sorry you're in pain and fingers crossed you get some answers.

ratspeaker · 29/09/2010 11:59

Irritable bowel syndrome?
Endometriosis?
Fibroids?

btw I had a friend who fainted as the ovulation pain was so bad

I had fibroids which were giving similar symptoms but also heavy bleeding but the cramping pain was still there after the fibroids were treated, turns out I've got diveticulitis as well

Flighttattendant · 29/09/2010 12:57

Folate deficiency? Is that folic acid?

You've reminded me I tend to feel like this when I am low on Iron, so have started taking it again.

I also bought a pg test but it was negative (thank goodness)

Hope your results are helpful x

crispface · 29/09/2010 18:47

yes folate is folic acid. I think the only way to find out if you're deficient is through blood tests though.

Hope you get your results soon.
