Help! My 5 yr old has a cut on his penis!

I think it's just a small cut but obviously it's in a bit of a delicate place! He sometimes puts things up his foreskin in the bath, told him not to loads of times but of course he still does it, tonight he put the spout of a jug up there and his little sister accidentally kicked the other end of the jug. OUCH! There was just a little bit of blood and he calmed down quite quick so I'm guessing the cut is small but it's inside the foreskin so I can't look at it without pulling the foreskin back and understandably he didn't want me messing about where it was sore. Problem now is 1. it really stings when he wees so he doesn't want to wee, and 2. should I wash it after he wees and / or apply some sort of antiseptic? (maybe sudafed?) Any advice please?!

I'm guessing you meant sudocrem not sudafed - that would really sting!!!!

I think that's a good idea. Apply a small amount regularly and keep it clean. If the cut is on the foreskin could he pull it back slightly when he wees so the wee doesn't touch the actualy cut IYSWIM.

Yes I meant sudacrem! I was in a bit of a panic Friday night, whole thing had made my stomach flip! Actually it's all turned out fine, he only weed a few times yesterday but did wee even though he said he was scared. I put him in the bath afterwards each time - I couldn't reach the wound to clean it (or even really see it, just saw the blood) cos it was on the penis inside the foreskin. Put sudacrem on after each bath and no pants. It was a bit red yesterday but seems fine today and he scored the soreness for me on his last wee yesterday as 1 out of 10. Another one to put down to experience and I hope he's now worked out that it really is a bad idea to put things up there!
