gallstones pain- conservative management

i have a gallstone, occaisionaly it gives me pain- usually some strong painkiller and a hot water bottle settles it down. however its really niggling at the moment - has anyone got any tried and trusted methods of pain relief they have used for this problem ?

Funny you should post this now, I've just had an attack from mine this morning. I've been prescribed codeine by my GP and Buscopan I think it's called from the emergency doctor I saw a few months ago. I've found that 2 codeine and one buscopan knock it on the head pretty quickly. If I stick to following the Slimming World diet then I don't seem to get any pain (I fell off it big time yesterday and have paid the price !)

think i will go to the doc kitty- i've had this for days now its getting a bit wearing.
