I've suffered with migraines for years but in the last month, I've gone from maybe one a month that was eased with sleep, tablets and cold compress thingys to 5 in 2 weeks complete with crushing pain throughout my head, visual problems, a lot of nausea/vomiting, weakness, joint aches and now my tablets/routines aren't even touching it.

I've got a GP's appointment in the next day or 2 and Opticians tomorrow for a full sight test but what can I do to ease the pain a bit before I go mad??

Hi, I'm sorry you're suffering, and glad that you have a doc's appointment. Obviously I don't know how old you are, but could this be anything to do with the early symptoms of entering the menopause? I am in my 40s and have never had migraine or even regular headaches, but since becoming 'perimenopausal', along with other symptoms such as breast pain and thinning hair, I am having blinding headaches several times a week which are totally new for me. Just wondered if the increase in your previous migraines could be hormone related and linked to menopause. Hope they settle down for you.
