Help my body looks different since having an operation

Is this normal? I have had gynecological laparoscopy 8 days ago and I looked at myself naked for the first time and hated what I saw I look bigger on the hips and my tummy still looks bloated is this normal as it has made me very upset

Could it be that all the gas pumped in for the op has not all dispersed yet? I had some swelling /bloating for about 3 weeks aafter I had this procedure HTH

I am hoping this is the case as i just didnt know the body in the mirror it made me really upset

Don't get uptight about it, you are only a week down the line from the op and you need to give yourself a chance to recover, emotionally and physically

I know, I am just rushing I keep telling myself that but I just feel very emotional. I think it might also have to do with the fact that in a few months I am going to have a hysterectomy along side bowel surgery to remove adhesions
