Sorry for mucho TMI, but am totally freaked out and need reassurance. Really hoping someone is around to help.
I was checking my copper coil strings, which I do infrequently, and to my horror found that they were coated with a creamy foul smelling discharge that smells just like stuff I've had from infected teeth, so am assuming it's a bacterial infection. SO GROSS, I know. I also have an aching crampy feeling in my abdomen.
But I'm now sitting here FREAKING OUT thinking, could this be PID? How long have I had this? Have I been made infertile? I was planning on TTC next year, I'll be devastated if something has happened 
I called NHS 24 and they told me to take painkillers and see the GP on Monday, but everything online says that if it's PID it must be seen to immediately. The nurse said she'd have the out of hours GP call me back within the hour, hearing how upset I was at her advice, but is an out of hours GP really going to have the expertise to help with this? Should I insist they see me or just tough it out til Monday?
Any help or hand holding gratefully received.
