Could I be pregnant when am on the pill??

On Cerazette for 5 months now. Always have a period every month with it. Missed a pill two weeks ago so when my dh and I had sex we used a condom.

Period a week late now. Am NEVER late, have been a 28day cyle now for 15 years.

Please tell me I am being a nutter for worrying about this. Surely the condom could not have failed, if it split we would have noticed (surely?) and I only missed one pill, surely one would have to be EXTREMELY unlucky to miss a pill, then get pregnant because the condom you used a a precaution split???

Also my boobs are killing me, and this is not something I normally get..

Am going to get a test tomorrow, but please tell me I am worrying needlessly.

Yes you can fall pregnant. No contraception is 100% effective the only thing that is, is abstinence. I fell pregnant while taking the mini pill.

Yes definately. Nothing is 100% effective. I had the mirena coil fitted and still got pregnant despite being told is was as good as female sterilization.

it is common for periods to stop altogether on cerazette so you may not be pregnant. I havent had a period for 2 years on cerazette which has saved me a fortune on sanitary products!

Havent got the test yet, will have to be tomorrow as I live in the back of beyonds and no chemist open on a sunday here.

Seona - Hopefully that is what has happended with me, its just I did have period for first few months on it and when on mirena for 2 years had a period every month too. And they are the same artificial hormone, progestogen.

I had no periods until I came off Cerazette too. I don't think you're pregnant.

Ah. Just reread your post. Boobs killing you- that was what made me realise I was pregnant with DD......

yes you can dd2 was our surprise whilst taking the pill.

Yes I have tested and thank god it was negative, now can breathe again!!!
