which combined pill to take if suffering headaches..

can anyone help with some advice?
if marvelon gives me headaches, which pill shud i switch to? mini-pill is a bit too much of a hassle...and dont feel comfortable with IUDs...

It would be a bit hit and miss.

If the headaches are linked to the progesterone bit of the combined pill you will have to switch to one with a different pregesterone and see what happens. If it is the ethenyl oestradiol (the oestrogen bit) that is causing the side effect then you are stuffed, because all combined pills have that.

Different people act in diferent ways to the progeterone bit so it will be a case of trying and see what works iyswim

I had severe headaches with the combined pill - tried various versions - then switched to mini pill - even worse headaches, combined with no periods constant feeling sick - it was like hell!
Now on nothing - try convince DH to have snip!

I have to admit that I gave up on the minipill because of this and the horrible constant period.
I'm currently trying to work up my courage to have a coil fitted. Unfortunately, it makes me want to hide under the bed whenever I think about it!

Hi I took Mercilon - had headaches though in my week break - am now on nothing figured it just can't be worth it!
