Giving blood if you are on medication ?

I know someone who is on fluoxetine for depression, and a medication for high blodd pressure.

Says they are going to donate blood next week (used to a few years back).

They won't be accepted tho, will they?

There are about a billion rules governing who can and can't give blood and I woudldn't assume that all medications mean that you can't. If it was me, I'd ring the National Blood Service helpline 0300 123 23 23 - I'm pretty sure it's open 24 hours. They have always been really helpful when I've rung about anything.
