should 2 wk old baby's skin feel hot?

he is wearing 1 layer, have taken vest off as felt too hot, but his skin feels very warm. not clammy. have got more layers on myself and my skin feels cool to touch.

Sometimes DD would feel hot, particularly on her chest and back. Best thing to do would be take his temperature. In the "Birth to Five" book they give you when DCs are born, they have a page which tells you what is considered a "temperature" and what is considered a "fever". If you don't have that book, it's probably possible to google, but if not, I'll try and dig it out.
