Stray hair embedded in skin under my toe

The skin under my big toe has been a little sore for a day or two. Walking around the house barefoot tonight I had the sensation that I have a splinter, I checked and it looks like a hair, the length of an eyelash, is embedded under the skin. There is no end to grab hold of with tweezers. Would you go to the Doctors/Nurse to get it removed or would you let the body sort itself out?

I personally would relish getting at it myself with a pair of tweezers, no way I'd share the joy with the nurse.

You could try that magnesium sulphate.

Pointy tweezers

Yup magnesium sulphate paste - from the pharmacy - about a pound a pot. Blob of it on, plaster on the top, draws the impurity to the surface. Whip it out.

Of course it could be a spider leg.....perhaps there will be more tomorrow....another seven perhaps......then a head? Grin

No I don't relish the thought of someone else getting it out so will definitely get some magnesium paste tomorrow and give it a go. Spider leg?! Ugh the thought!
