She's my second child so i really should know what to expect. i'm sure AF returned when dd1 was about 6 months, and I am still bf dd2 (a lot, as she's pretty clingy and not always keen on her food). When should I start to worry if AF still doesn't make an appearance?

Mine didn't appear til a few weeks after I stopped feeding dd when she was a year old. I'm hoping for the same this time - dd2 only five weeks!

Mine came back 9 months after DS2. I would only worry if it hasn't come back when you stop breastfeeding or at least significantly reduce the amount you breastfeed.

Oh lucky you.

Got mine yesterday and today have the constant gnawing sensation in uterus and back ache. Enjoy the lack of period.

with all 4 my first cycle was when they were 13 months old. It's nothing to worry about.

Have you done a preg test?

DD1 was BF and so I didn't expect one, I also wasn't expecting a DD2!

Just a thought - don't want to panic you, but it does happen.

Mine came back 2 months after stopping feeding which was 9months after DS was born. It was light and patchy for the first few times as well.

SweetBeadieRussell · 10/09/2010 10:03

thanks all - reassured now.
moragbellingham - have to say the odds are well against pg as dd2 is proving a natural contraceptive mainly lack of sleep and not wanting to leave our bed!
